Financial Management

Money Wise

Money Wise is a personal financial program for adults. The three sessions will focus on developing a spending plan, saving and investing, and using credit wisely. The program can be adjusted to target college aged adults, low-income adults, or other specific groups.

Love Your Money

Love Your Money is an on-line personal financial management class targeting college-aged adults. This free program teaches basic principles through a series of modules. Each module has a quiz at the end to help determine how much participants have learned. This program can be completed as a class project in high school or college or completed as an individual. To learn more about this program and how to access the website, contact the UT Extension Office.

On My Own

This financial simulation takes participants on a adventure in paying bills and making financial decisions. The simulation represents one month in the life of a twenty-five year old.  Students are given a job and paycheck and are forced to visit a series of stations where they will purchase all of the essentials to survive for the month. Additional lessons can also be added to the simulation itself. This program targets eighth graders through high school. Teachers may contact the Extension Office to schedule the program.
