> June Dairy Month

June is Dairy Month! Learn more about dairy products, associated health benefits, and dairy production while enjoying delicious dairy snacks. Have your June Dairy Month Chairman come to your pre-school, library or youth group for fun educational programs during the month of June.
 
> On My Own
Contact: Starla Hardin
What is it like to live on your own? To be financially responsible for yourself or a family? Experience the reality of living on your own in our two hour "On My Own" simulation. Each participant receives an occupation and a family scenario. Then they deduct taxes and insurance from their gross income and pay bills for the month at the "On My Own" stations. This simulation teaches participants to save money, to spend wisely, to receive an education and to wait to have children!
Ages: 7th-12th grade

 
> K-9 Clan - Dog Project Group
Contact: Savannah Grooms
Train your dog in obedience, agility, and tricks while improving your showmanship skills. The K-9 Clan is led by knowledgeable and experienced 4-H Volunteer Leaders and meets year round at the Maury County Park. Participants may enter their dog(s) in the State 4-H Dog Show in November/December.
Fee: $25 for Agility or Obedience Classes
Ages: 4th-12th grade
 
> Pattern Pieces - Clothing Project Group

Have fun sewing at the 4-H Pattern Pieces meeting. Learn sewing skills, make clothes and accessories, and complete community service projects. Pattern Pieces meets monthly from January through May.
Fee: $30
Ages: 4th-12th grade
 
> Mane Gang
Contact: Dill Hughes
Learn about horses, be involved in horse shows, plan and take trail rides, and hear guest speakers. You can join Mane Gang whether you have a horse or not!
Fee: $20
Ages: 4th - 12th grade
 
> Crazy Critters
Contact: Savannah Grooms
Interested in wildlife? Love the great outdoors? Come learn about Tennessee wildlife and its habitat through hands-on activities led by Brian - The Crazy Critter Guy!
Fee: $20
 
> Archery Project
Contact: Dill Hughes
Have you ever wanted to learn to shoot a bow and arrow or learn to shoot better? if so, the 4-H Archery project is for you. You can learn about archery equipment, proper shooting techniques, and improve skills you already have. This group meets once a week for five to six weeks in the spring.
Fee: $20
Ages: 5th - 12th grade
 
> Sigma Lambda Chi

Sigma Lambda Chi is a group for 4-Her's in grades 6 - 12. This group helps promote Service, Leadership, and Citizenship among older 4-Her's. They meet once a month throughout the school year. If you are in this age group or have a child in this age group, you'll want to be sure to join and enjoy many opportunities to participate with fellow 4-Her's and learn valuable life skills.

> Chick Chain Poultry Project

The Chick Chain is a poultry project where you can receive 12 (4th grade) or 25 (5th grade and higher) red or black sex link chicks to raise on your own. We need your name and contact information by the end of December for chicks to be picked up around the first of April.
Fee: No fee as long as you show your chicks in the County Poultry Show held at the Maury County Fair. If you do not show your pullets, there is a charge of $20 for 12 chicks or $40 for 25 chicks.
Ages: 4th - 12th grade
